Claude Généreux
For more than 18 years, Claude Généreux served as president, vice-president and secretary-treasurer within the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) and the Territorial Council of Social Affairs. During the last 21 years, he has largely contributed to the advancement of the union cause in Quebec and has played a major role in the development of progressive policies that workers from all around the country benefit from. Furthermore, he headed the CUPE delegation during the two last UN Conferences of the parties (COP) regarding the challenge of the climate change, and did the same at the World Social Forum. He recently completed a joint reconstruction project with the CTSP in Haiti.
