Louise Vandelac, Administrator
Louise Vandelac is a Professor in the Department of Sociology and Director of the Institute of Environmental Sciences of the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). She is also co-director of VertigO and a researcher at CINBIOSE (Center for Interdisciplinary Research on biology, health, society and the environment), a center that collaborates with WHO and PAHO. She is a director of GRETESS, an interdisciplinary research group focusing on government, risk, the environment, technoscience, health, and society. She is also a researcher at TITNT (The International Team on Nanosafety) and is a member of the scientific committee of CRIIGEN (Committee for Research and Independent Information on Genetic Engineering), of CERREV (Centre d'Etude et de Recherche sur les Risques et les Vulnérabilités), and of the centre for Risk, Quality and Sustainable environment at the Maison de recherche en sciences humaines at the University of Caen Basse-Normandie. As well as being a recipient of an honorary doctorate, of ACFAS’ multidisciplinary prize and member of the Phoenix Club for the environment, she is currently President of the Canadian Commission of Natural and Social Sciences for UNESCO.
