Sign the petition ! Campaign Domestic workers have rights!

Date:
Wednesday, June 20, 2018 - 16:05 - Thursday, July 5, 2018 - 16:05

The campaign launched by the Centre international de solidarité ouvrière (CISO) and the AQOCI’s Comité québécois femmes et développement (CQFD) is part of the growing global movement to defend the rights of domestic workers. As of June 20, 3300 signatures have been obtained, but we need you to get as many signatures as possible by July 5, when the petition closes. So there are only 15 days left to reach the goal of 5000 signatures and we need your support to get there !

This campaign is calling upon the Government of Canada to :

1) ratify the ILO’s Domestic Workers Convention (No. 189);
2) invite provincial and territorial governments to harmonize their laws with the ILO’s Recommendation No. 201 which accompanies this Convention.

We encourage you to share the petition massively (social media and in your community) !
