Mobile schools for children in Gaza<\/a><\/h4><\/a>\n

The humanitarian situation in Gaza is catastrophic, and the education system is also bearing the brunt of the Israeli army’s bombardments. Through this project, Alternatives is supporting the creation of mobile schools for the children of Gaza in partnership with the Teacher Creativity Center and with financial assistance from the FNEEQ-CSN. The first phase of the initiative will target 360 girls and boys aged 7 to 14. Support will also be offered to families (parents and guardians) to strengthen their ability to support their children’s mental health and reduce their stress levels.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t

Contribution to the Operation of a Hybrid Electrical Energy System for Eight Communities in the Zona Reina Region of Guatemala<\/a><\/h4><\/a>\n

The project aims to finance the operation of a hybrid electrical energy system that will benefit eight communities in the Zona Reina region, in the municipality of Uspant\u00e1n, as part of the Colectivo MadreSelva strategic plan.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t

Strengthening women’s economic and social capacities in the municipality of Aquin<\/a><\/h4><\/a>\n

The project aims to strengthen the economic and social empowerment of women and girls in the municipality of Aquin by providing them with access to resources and opportunities in the agricultural and agri-food sectors. It responds to needs identified during local consultations and aims to improve the living conditions of women and girls by integrating them as key actors in the economic development of their community.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t

Humanitarian Support and Gender-Based Violence Project for 350 Internally Displaced Girls and Women in Bukavu<\/a><\/h4><\/a>\n

This emergency project aims to temporarily alleviate food insecurity and prevent or reduce exposure to STIs, HIV\/AIDS, and gender-based violence among internally displaced women and girls in the city of Bukavu.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t

International Youth Internship Program (IYIP) 2024-2029<\/a><\/h4><\/a>\n

Young Canadians aged 18 to 30 from certain communities may face barriers in the job market. Completing an international solidarity internship equips them with experience in communication, digital technologies, and advocacy development, while providing valuable assistance to partners and communities abroad.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t

2024 – 2027<\/div>\n

Empowerment of women and adolescent girls in the informal sector in Honduras<\/a><\/h4><\/a>\n

The objective of the project is to support the activities of the Comprehensive Care Center for Women Entrepreneurs (CAIME) created by Alternatives in 2020 in Honduras as part of a project aimed at empowering women in the informal sector.
