{"id":6941,"date":"2026-01-29T14:57:50","date_gmt":"2026-01-29T19:57:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.alternatives.ca\/?p=6941"},"modified":"2026-03-04T16:49:23","modified_gmt":"2026-03-04T21:49:23","slug":"annual-general-meeting-of-alternatives-members","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.alternatives.ca\/en\/2026\/01\/annual-general-meeting-of-alternatives-members\/","title":{"rendered":"Annual General Meeting of Alternatives Members"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are pleased to invite you to attend our organization&#8217;s Annual General Meeting, which will be held on <strong>Saturday, February 21, 2026<\/strong>, starting at 9:30 a.m., in person at 3720 Park Avenue, 2nd floor.<\/p>\n<p>This meeting is a unique opportunity to review the achievements of the past year, share future prospects, and allow everyone to actively contribute to the direction of our organization.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Agenda:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Welcome to members<\/li>\n<li>Adoption of the minutes of the 2023-2024 AGM<\/li>\n<li>Presentation of the 2024-2025 activity report<\/li>\n<li>Review and approval of the financial statements<\/li>\n<li>Renewal of the accounting firm&#8217;s mandate<\/li>\n<li>Discussion of projects and directions for 2025-2026<\/li>\n<li>Presentation of the 2025-2026 budget forecast<\/li>\n<li>Renewal of the members of the Board of Directors<\/li>\n<li>Closing of the meeting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Your presence and participation are essential to make your ideas heard and support the organization&#8217;s mission.<\/p>\n<p>We would like to inform you that <strong>five (5)<\/strong> positions are available on the Alternatives Board of Directors. We are therefore inviting applications.<\/p>\n<p>Members wishing to submit their candidacy are asked to pay their annual membership fee online ($36) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alternatives.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Bulletin-2025.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">send the completed nomination form<\/a> <strong>by February 14, 2026<\/strong>, one week before the AGM. To be valid, each nomination must be seconded by a member in good standing.<\/p>\n<p>The term of office for those elected is two years, until 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t forget to <a href=\"https:\/\/crm.alternatives.ca\/en\/civicrm\/contribute\/transact\/?reset=1&amp;id=3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">renew your membership online<\/a> before the AGM.
