Laurence worked at Biyem-Assi SIC1 public primary school to integrate information and communication technologies (ICTs). This school is actually a school block where there are 9 schools sharing the premises of the same establishment. The number of classrooms and students requires a special organization that is combined with a shortage of textbooks and slender state funding.
These issues affect the work of teachers unmotivated by the lack of support. PROTEGE-QV, a long-time partner with Alternatives, is joining the primary school to integrate ICTs and equip the two computer rooms of the school. Unfortunately, the current material is out of date and students can not benefit from it during their computer classes.
The following documentary interviews the principals and teachers with whom we have worked on the challenges they face in the field of education.
