The general manager of Alternatives, Pierre Beaudet, has passed away!

Pierre Beaudet, director general of Alternatives, died Monday night. An internationalist activist since the 1960s, his career led him to work in international cooperation and solidarity for more than 40 years. He also contributed to the creation of Alternatives in 1994, of which he was director during its first decade. Last fall, the organization chose him to return to the general management. A tireless worker, he had begun to define an audacious work plan. We will do everything in our power to meet it, despite his unexpected departure. We want to express our fullest solidarity with his family and friends. We will join with others to pay tribute to him shortly.
