Project Manager - New Initiatives

Catherine Pappas has been working with Alternatives since 1997.

 

Initially responsible for international internships, she went on to coordinate solidarity and human rights projects with partners in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sudan, Iraq, and Palestine. In recent years, she has written several proposals funded by the Government of Canada, the European Commission, the Ministry of International Relations and La Francophonie, the International Organization of La Francophonie, and various foundations.

A graduate in communications from the Université du Québec à Montréal, she has also worked as a filmmaker, researcher, and photographer on photographic and film documentaries with the National Film Board (NFB) of Canada, the Société Radio-Canada, and independent production companies. Her achievements in film and photography have earned her recognition in the industry (Lux competition, finalist for the 2003 Jutra Award).
