Empowerment of women and adolescent girls in the informal sector in Honduras

The objective of the project is to support the activities of the Comprehensive Care Center for Women Entrepreneurs (CAIME) created by Alternatives in 2020 in Honduras as part of a project aimed at empowering women in the informal sector. CAIME relies on comprehensive intervention in matters of violence, training and community building, and advocacy.

The project aims to strengthen the economic and social empowerment of women and girls in the municipality of Aquin by providing them with access to resources and opportunities in the agricultural and agri-food sectors. It responds to needs identified during local consultations and aims to improve the living conditions of women and girls by integrating them as key actors in the economic development of their community.
