Combating violence against women in the informal sector in Honduras

In Honduras, as in other sectors of the economy, women in the informal sector can be victims of psychological and physical violence. The goal of this project is to ensure the sustainability of the Centro de Atención Integral para las Mujeres Emprendedoras (CAIME), enabling the organization to continue its mission of defending and protecting women who experience gender-based violence. CAIME also has an awareness and education component to combat this form of violence.

Mobile schools for children in Gaza

The humanitarian situation in Gaza is catastrophic, and the education system is also bearing the brunt of the Israeli army’s bombardments. Through this project, Alternatives is supporting the creation of mobile schools for the children of Gaza in partnership with the Teacher Creativity Center and with financial assistance from the FNEEQ-CSN. The first phase of the initiative will target 360 girls and boys aged 7 to 14. Support will also be offered to families (parents and guardians) to strengthen their ability to support their children’s mental health and reduce their stress levels.
